FRIDAY NIGHT DRAG RACING - Oct. 7, 2011

Yes, you read it right. Not only are we hosting our 2nd Annual Autumn Dyno Event and Food Drive, we have added a new Drag Racing event to the schedule this year.

Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA will be graciously hosting our PHP Drag Race event on Friday, October 7th starting at 6:00 PM. All cars and trucks, both gas and diesel are welcome to come and run.

PHP will be sponsoring a $500.00 total purse for the fastest "Street Tuner" truck. There will be a $15.00 registration fee for anyone wishing to enter their truck in the Street Tuner class. All entrants will receive a free PHP Gift Bag.

Class restrictions are as follows:

• Single Turbocharger Only (NO Superchargers)
• Stock or Modified Injectors/Injection Pump
• Stock or Modified Oiling System (HPOP)
• Electronics/Tuning (Chips, Programmers, In-line Modules)
• DOT Certified Street Tires Only (NO Street Slicks)
• NO Artificial Power Adders (Water Meth, NOS, Propane)

Purse payouts are as follow:

• 1st Place - $250.00
• 2nd Place - $125.00
• 3rd Place - $75.00
• 4th Place - $50.00

We may be able to add an open class Bracket Race if we have enough people interested in running. If so, we will also be offering an additional $500.00 purse for top 4 winners of the Bracket Race. Provided we are able to accommodate a Bracket Race, there will be a $15.00 registration fee for anyone wishing to enter their truck. There will be no vehicle restrictions for the Open Bracket Race.

Be sure to stop by the PHP tent in the parking lot where everyone can get together and meet up before the racing begins. We will also be collecting food donations at the race track for folks who will not be attending the Dyno Event on Saturday. Make sure to submit an RSVP Form if you plan to attend the Drag Race so that we can provide an estimated number of attendants and racers to the track manager.

SATURDAY DYNO EVENT - Oct. 8, 2011

Like last year's event, all dyno runs will be ABSOLUTELY FREE and we will be providing lunch and refreshments for all attendees.

Dyno runs will be on a "First Come, First Run" basis, although individuals who fill in the RSVP form will be guaranteed a reserved run and receive priority status for the dyno. Dyno runs will start at 9:00 AM and will go until 6:00 PM or until the last reserved vehicle is run. We are setting aside 20 reserved spots so be sure to sign up early! Even if you don't plan to run a vehicle, we do ask that you fill in the RSVP form so that we can more accurately plan how much food to purchase.

While we expect a good number of diesel trucks to be in attendance, the dyno is open to all vehicles... gas or diesel, car or truck. Please keep in mind that our dyno is above ground and some smaller/lower vehicles may have difficulty ascending the ramps. Our dyno is large enough to accommodate trucks with dual rear wheels without having to remove the outer wheels. Also, while not mandatory, we do request that trucks with stacks have a way to disconnect them so that we may attach an exhaust system below the truck to help keep the shop clear of smoke and soot.

"Speed to Feed" FOOD DRIVE

Also, we will once again be holding our "Speed to Feed" Food Drive, with all food donations benefitting the Food Bank of NE GA. Last year we collected over 400 pounds of food and hope to be able to surpass that number this year. For convenience, we ask that all donated foods items be in canned form. However, all items located the Suggested Donations list are more than welcome.
